Iranian Attack on Kuwaiti Power Plant Kills One Worker

(MENAFN) An Iranian attack late Sunday on a service building at a power generation and water desalination plant killed one worker and caused significant damage, as stated by reports citing the country’s Electricity Ministry.

The ministry identified the fatality as an Indian national and said the strike inflicted major damage on the facility’s infrastructure. Technical and emergency teams were deployed immediately under emergency protocols to manage the aftermath and ensure the plant’s operations continue, the ministry added. Authorities are also coordinating with security agencies and relevant organizations to secure the site.

The attack comes amid ongoing regional tensions following the joint US-Israeli offensive against Iran launched on February 28, which has resulted in more than 1,340 deaths, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iran has responded with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
