Iran Claims Israeli Strikes Were “Fully Coordinated” With US
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei told a briefing cited by state media that “the direct responsibility of the United States for the actions of the Zionist regime is clear, and the consequences of escalating tensions will also fall on the United States.”
However, Israeli broadcaster, citing an unnamed military official, reported that the operations were carried out independently by Israel. The official also said the United States assisted only in intercepting “some Iranian missiles.”
The same source said Israel is “preparing for several days of fighting in Iran at least, as well as the possibility of a long-term return to fighting.”
Tensions escalated after Israeli strikes on Beirut took place despite a ceasefire, prompting Iran to launch missiles toward northern Israel, with Israel responding through multiple waves of airstrikes on Iranian targets.
Baqaei further said that “the US will be responsible for the ceasefire violation in Lebanon,” adding that Tehran is managing developments both militarily and diplomatically, while accusing Tel Aviv of rejecting any diplomatic path toward regional peace.
